Sophomore Highlights: 
Appeared in 8 varsity games as a sophomore, playing shortstop. Collected 4 hits and drove in 4 runs while scoring 7 runs. Had an RBI triple in the Vikings 10 – 0 win over Morgan Park. Clubbed an RBI double against St. Rita going 1-2 in the game. On the sophomore Vikes, Mike hit a team high .451, collecting 23 hits and pounding out 5 doubles, 2 triples, and 2 homeruns. Walked 17 times while only striking out 3 times in 76 at-bats.

Hitting a homerun against Providence to tie the game and then going on to beat them while they were ranked # 1 in the state and were undefeated.
