Kyle Wood

 

 

Kyle is a 2011 graduate of St. Laurence, and is in his second year of coaching the varsity team. While at St. Laurence Kyle was a member of the baseball team where he was an All-State, All-conference, and All-area player. Kyle holds the record for career: RBI’s, average, runs scored, walks, HBP, doubles, triples, home runs, strikeouts as a pitcher. He also owns the record for season: RBI’s, walks, HBP, home runs, and average. After leaving St. Laurence Kyle continued his baseball career at Purdue University. During his time at Purdue Kyle played in the prestigious Cape Cod baseball league in the summer of 2013, and spent two summers in the Northwoods league. In his senior year, Kyle was third in the big ten conference in home runs, and also earned an All-Big ten nomination. After his career at Purdue, he joined the independent minor league team Windy City Thunderbolts of the Frontier league, which he is currently finishing up his second year with the team. In 2017 he was named a frontier league All-Star.
